Ejercicio de Trigonometría — UNI

En el gráfico mostrado, calcule el máximo valor que toma el ángulo θ\theta.

Ver solución paso a paso

Pista: convierte grados centesimales a sexagesimales usando 10g=910g=9^\circ, y luego aplica x+1x2x+\frac1x\ge2 para x>0x>0.

1. Los dos rayos oblicuos forman 9090^\circ. Como la recta horizontal aporta un ángulo llano, el ángulo de la izquierda y θ\theta completan otros 9090^\circ:

10g(x+1x)+θ=90.10g\left(x+\frac1x\right)+\theta=90^\circ.

2. Como 10g=910g=9^\circ:

9(x+1x)+θ=90,x>0.9^\circ\left(x+\frac1x\right)+\theta=90^\circ, \qquad x>0.

3. Para maximizar θ\theta debemos minimizar x+1xx+\frac1x. Por AM-GM,

x+1x2,x+\frac1x\ge2,

con igualdad en x=1x=1.

4. Por tanto,

18+θmax=90,18^\circ+\theta_{\max}=90^\circ, θmax=72.\theta_{\max}=72^\circ.
